Wakeline Get the app

Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · Last updated

These terms apply wherever you live. They are written to be read once, in plain language, without needing anything explained to you afterwards.

Wakeline has not launched yet. These terms take effect the day the app becomes available.

1. What Wakeline is

Wakeline is an iPhone and Apple Watch app that gives you one small action each morning, and asks in the evening whether you managed it. It is made and operated by Baloot.my, based in Malaysia.

It is for reflection. It is not therapy, not medical advice, and not a crisis service. Nothing in the app is a diagnosis, or a recommendation about your health, your finances, or your legal position. If you need help, please speak to a qualified person — some options are here.

2. Readings are generated

Your readings are produced by an AI model using your birth chart and your recent answers, and checked automatically before delivery. No human astrologer writes them. Readings are for reflection and entertainment. We make no guarantee about outcomes, and nothing in a reading is a prediction you should rely on for any decision that matters.

3. Who may use Wakeline

You need to be at least 13 to use Wakeline. Where the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to terms like these, or for agreeing to your data being processed, that higher age applies to you instead. If you are under that age, a parent or guardian needs to agree on your behalf and stays responsible for your use of the app.

4. The free tier

The daily reading and action, the full affirmations library including your own custom affirmations, every widget, the Apple Watch app and a basic About You profile are free, permanently, with no trial attached and no payment details required.

If a Plus subscription lapses, the free tier keeps working. We do not disable what was free when you subscribed.

5. Wakeline Plus

Plus adds follow-through history, Patterns, adaptive actions, the full About You profile, an unlimited archive and the Sunday review.

PlanPriceTerm
Monthly$8.991 month
Yearly$59.001 year

Wakeline Plus is an auto-renewing subscription. Free for 30 days, then $8.99 per month, or $59.00 per year, until cancelled. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renew in your Apple Account settings after purchase. See our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Prices are shown in US dollars and charged in your local currency at the rate Apple sets for your storefront, which means the amount you see may change if Apple adjusts its regional pricing. All billing is handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Before the trial ends

We send a notification three days before the first charge. That is a commitment, not a courtesy — if you have barely used the app, we would rather you cancelled than paid for something you are not getting value from.

Cancelling and refunds

Cancel any time in your Apple Account settings, or through Settings → Manage subscription in the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period you are already in.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us — we have no ability to issue one. Request a refund through Apple's own process. Where the law where you live gives you a right to cancel or be refunded that goes beyond Apple's policy, that right still applies and nothing here removes it.

6. Your account and your data

You can export all of your content and delete your account permanently from Settings at any time. What we collect and why is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Deleting your account does not cancel your Apple subscription. You must cancel that separately with Apple, because only Apple can.

7. What you agree not to do

8. Who owns what

Affirmations you write yourself are yours. We do not claim any ownership of them, and deleting your account removes them.

The readings generated for you are yours to use. Read them, keep them, screenshot them, share them — we place no restriction on what you do with your own readings. We are not claiming to own the output of a model, and we ask only that you do not resell readings at scale, which is covered above.

The app itself is ours. The name Wakeline, the design, the illustrations, the code and the underlying system belong to Baloot.my.

9. Availability

We try to keep the service running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Readings are generated on our servers, so an outage may mean a reading arrives late. The app is designed to show your most recent cached reading when it cannot reach us.

We may change or discontinue features. If we remove something you are paying for, we will tell you before it takes effect, and you can cancel.

10. If we need to end your access

We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms — for example to attack the service, or to extract readings at scale. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close your account for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused part of any subscription we are able to.

You can stop using Wakeline at any time by deleting your account.

11. Liability

Wakeline is provided as it is. We do not promise that a reading will be accurate, useful, or right for your situation, and you should not treat one as advice.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost profits, lost opportunities, or decisions you made after reading something in the app. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose.

Nothing here removes rights you have that cannot be removed. Many countries give consumers protections that a contract is not allowed to exclude, including in cases of death, personal injury, fraud, or gross negligence. Those apply to you in full regardless of what this section says.

12. Apple's role

These terms are between you and Baloot.my, not between you and Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and any claim about the app is ours to answer rather than Apple's. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.

13. The rest of the agreement

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands and the unenforceable part is treated as removed. If we do not enforce something straight away, that does not mean we have given up the right to. You may not transfer your account to someone else; we may transfer these terms if the business is sold, and we will tell you if that happens.

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Wakeline.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the Malaysian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.

This does not take away your local consumer rights. If you live somewhere that guarantees you protections which cannot be signed away — or that gives you the right to bring a claim in your own country's courts — you keep those, and this section does not override them.

15. Changes

If we change these terms we will update the version and date above. If a change materially reduces what you get for what you pay, we will tell you before it takes effect, and you can cancel.
