About
How readings are made
This page exists so the answer is findable by anyone who looks for it. It is deliberately not in the app's main path.
The calculation
Your birth date — and your birth time and place, if you gave them — are used to calculate a birth chart on your own device. That calculation stays on your phone. Only the results of it, such as your sign, are sent to our servers.
The writing
Readings are generated by an AI model, on our servers, using those results together with what you told us you were carrying and what you answered in previous evenings. They are not written in advance by a person, and we do not claim otherwise.
A person writing one column for a million readers cannot take account of what any single reader did yesterday. That is the trade we have made, and it is the reason the app can adapt to you at all.
What is checked before you see it
Every generated reading passes automated checks before it is delivered:
- Length, so nothing is cut off mid-sentence on a watch face
- Vocabulary, so no astrological jargon reaches you
- Whether the action is actually doable in a day
- A safety check, described below
If a reading fails these checks twice, you are shown one from a set written and reviewed by people instead. You are never shown an unchecked reading.
What is never generated
- Health, medical, or diagnostic claims
- Predictions about death, illness, injury, or harm
- Financial, legal, or medical advice
- Anything framing a bad day as deserved
Wakeline is for reflection. It isn't therapy, medical advice, or a crisis service. If you want to talk to someone, here are some options.
